Cycle Synchronization & Ovarian Stimulation
For fresh cycles, birth control medications synchronize the recipient's and donor's menstrual cycles. The donor begins 10–12 days of daily self-administered hormone injections to mature multiple eggs, monitored closely via gentle ultrasound visits.
Ultrasound-Guided Retrieval & Fertilization
When eggs reach optimal maturity, a 15–20 minute outpatient retrieval is performed under gentle IV sedation. Eggs are immediately fertilized with sperm via ICSI in our IVF laboratory, cultured to the blastocyst stage, genetically screened (PGT-A), and transferred to the hopeful mother or surrogate.
