Use success rates to ask better questions—not to promise an individual outcome.
Success rates can help patients ask informed questions, but historical percentages should not be treated as a prediction for an individual cycle. Check SART for standardized, current clinic reporting and use the recent VCRM FET data below as a clearly dated snapshot.

Why clinic statistics need context
A clinic can report pregnancy, live birth, implantation or other outcomes; these are not interchangeable. Age, diagnosis, embryo source, use of PGT, number of embryos transferred and whether cycles are fresh or frozen all influence the denominator and the meaning of a percentage.
The safest way to compare clinics is to use standardized reporting and review the population that produced the number. VCRM’s own IVF page directs patients to SART for the most up-to-date reported success rates.
Success-rate questions
Common questions are answered here so the information stays connected to the treatment or service you are reading about.
Does the highest percentage mean the best clinic for me?
Not necessarily. Patient selection, age mix, diagnosis and treatment approach can change reported rates. Ask how the clinic performs in a group similar to you and how it handles difficult cases.
Why do success rates change from year to year?
Patient mix, embryo source, age, testing practices and the number of cycles can all change over time. For current standardized reporting, use the clinic’s SART profile and discuss how the published population compares with your own situation.
Can a clinic guarantee IVF success?
No. Refund or shared-risk programs are financial arrangements, not guarantees that a particular treatment cycle will result in a baby.
